LCRA and Hilliard Company are cutting down many acres of Hill Country trees. Such devastation will have long reaching effects on our environment. Not only because of the loss of "filtration" the trees provide, but also because the cutting/mulching can spread oak wilt. We have seen the effects of oak wilt on the Hill Country. Has LCRA done studies on preventing it from spreading?

Oak Wilt Information
Oak Wilt is spread from tree to tree by beetles.
Hilliard/Florida Power & Light/Next Era Energy Resources/Horse Hollow are cutting down trees and mulching them WITHOUT ANY PROVISIONS TO PREVENT OAK WILT!
We contacted the Texas Forestry Service with information about the damage the power companies are causing the Hill Country. The Forestry Service attempted to contact the person(s) in charge of the transmission line project and EMPLOYEES OF THEIR COMPANY DID NOT KNOW THAT A LINE WAS EVEN BEING BUILT!
The companies operate under the several above mentioned names. To THROW US OFF THE TRACK? To remain UNACCOUNTABLE? To avoid LEGAL AND ETHICAL RESPONSIBILITIES?
